GAMMA.CON is a fantastic place for families with children and lovers of popular culture of all ages. It’s an all-inclusive exciting environment with entertainment for everyone.
The festival is rated PG for Parental Guidance, however some rooms and areas will contain material of a higher rating. These areas will be clearly marked for your guidance and proof of age is required.
FREE ENTRY FOR CHILDREN. Entry for children aged 8 and under is free. Standard ticket prices apply for all ages 9 and above. GAMMA.CON does not offer concession prices.
Children are to be supervised at all times. GAMMA.CON makes every attempt to create a safe and secure environment, and this will be ensured if everyone works together to prioritise this.
The listed ticket prices are for standard non-business attendees. The general public should use this table for reference when deciding on which ticket to purchase. Note: All prices marked are in Australian Dollars (AUD). The following prices are for GAMMA.CON 2017 only and should not be used to determine ticket pricing for future years.

 

GAMMA@NIGHT

GAMMA @Night is our new for 2017 event for over 18s on Saturday 5th of August 6pm to 12am! 
There will be cocktails and presented by RELOAD Bar and Games, RGB: UP LATE! a stage show with gaming celebrities Rad, Goose and Bajo! Nerdlesque (Nerd Burlesque)! Hilarious local comedians, mature rated free play video games and table top gaming, horror movie screenings, SO KAWAII! the Anime and Videogame themed nightclub dance party, and much more!!

Venue and Getting there

The Australian Institute of Sport Arena is located on Leverrier Street, Bruce, Australian Capital Territory.
 The Australian Institute of Sport is approximately a seventeen minute drive from the centre of Canberra. It is 5.5km east of Belconnen Shopping Centre, 3.5km west of Dickson Shopping Centre, 7km north-west of the city centre (Civic), 4.6km north-east of Jamison Shopping Centre, 2.6km north of Calvary Hospital and 3.8km east of the University of Canberra.

 

Parking

 

Free parking is located across from the AIS Arena and at the corner of Leverrier Street and Battye Street. This car park can accommodate buses and small mech suits

 

Public transport

 

The 980 ACTION bus runs to the AIS campus run from the Canberra Civic Centre and Belconnen Town Centre. Exit at the Braybrooke St or Baytte St stops and walk across the carpark to the AIS Arena.

Accessibility

The AIS Shop, AIS café, AIS Aquatic and Fitness Centre, Ticketek and AIS Tours desk are all easily accessible
Assistance Animals are always welcome at the AIS when accompanied by their handler
All public areas at the AIS are accessible either by lifts, escalators, or walkway ramps
Accessible parking facilities are available close to the AIS' main entrances.
The AIS has modern well equipped and accessible toilet and shower facilities as well as family change rooms available
