10:30-11: 30 AM – Australian Games Development Q&A

Games are officially bigger than film and music combined. Australian game development comes in many forms, from solo indie development to world dominating mobile blockbusters, here's your chance to pick the brains of a broad cross-section of Australia's developers. Ask away!

11:30-12: 30 PM – The Movie Club: Is Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos filmable?

Many films from the 80's through to today have tackled the stories and themes from H.P. Lovecraft, the popular horror writer responsible for the development of the Cthulhu Mythos. While the Mythos is felt in movies, T.V, games (video-and-board) and comic-books such as Hellboy, The Mist, Prometheus and Stranger Things, a direct adaptation has not received mainstream success. Is it true that the Cthulhu Mythos is just ‘unfilmable’ and, if so, why?
